Thank you for your comment. The colours I use are always muted earth colours, and this particular piece is made up of Titanium buff, tonal greys and flesh tones, which don't really show up too well on the image.
I'm delighted you like the piece!

I like the way it looks too...but the title and concept of devotion grabbed me.
I never really realized how important devotion ( in the general sense )is to me!!!!!!

Yes, I can understand your sentiments to that word too. It's an absolutely beautiful word with so much attached to it. I was looking through a book on Islamic Art some months back and was contemplating the complete and consummate level of detail they applied to their craft.I could only liken it to devotion and enlightened. Thanks a lot for the comment, and pleased it may have struck a chord as it did in me :)

Every time I see your work I just want to be there and look at them with my own eyes because your works make me or people want to see them in real..

Happy to see your new work Cliff..

:aww: Thanks a lot for those words Meral.Yes, there's no comparison in seeing a painting face to face,as there can be so many subtleties and shades and textures the camera cannot always pick up.Appreciate your comments as always

Just had a weird one, looking at this. I'm sitting beside a palette covered in oils and turps, and for a second, was convinced I was in YOUR studio, getting the full 3d, sensurround experience. It's lovely, of course. You ought to take up painting full-time, like, quit the jam factory.

P.S. See ya soon!

The studio in the RHA? GOD, it feels like it never happened! The Jam factory is always an option :hmm:I should think of that the next time I butter my toast.See ya over the next week.
